Fall 2004

Whuz up ya’ll I am Greg and I’m black. I am the comedian out of the group! I work at Target and I also work at a military academy. I like cars and I like to exercise! I see myself in 5 years either serving in the Military or being an ATF agent. I also want to own a business. Preferable McDonalds, Starbucks, Crisp Crème, and also a car detail shop something like West Coast Customs! So if you see me in ten years on T.V. just say Teen Talk. And this is Greg and it’s a Wrap!

Whatz good New York, my name is Francine. I’m the oldest yet, youngest intern, don’t mind that. First and for most I’m most excited to be part of Teen Talk. Some of my interests are school, nature, art, animals fashion, socializing and worldly interest. O almost forgot PARTIES!! It’s weird that this is the time that I took to “wild out”. However, Starting in September I will be continuing my education for animal med. in the United Kingdom (Oxford University). Can’t wait! Well, I’m not going to tell my life story because the rest of the interns are complaining I’m taking mad long.

Sup New York ,this is the metal head Orlando I am the only one here that considers himself able and willing to say what ever and do whatever I want. I don’t like to follow I would rather do my own thing because when it comes to life you should live it your way not someone else’s. I play guitar and I am learning the drums and the piano. I like listening to rock of course and I like to draw. I prefer to be brutally honest because it works it let’s you have no regrets and in the end shows you who you are and who your friends really. After this I am going to college for a few things business management music and the culinary arts. I want to open my own bar and run it for the rest of my life. Well I’m done peace out and good riddance.

What’s poppin New York? This is one part of the get fresh grew from Manhattan from 104. It’s your favorite boy toy Elycar. I just want to let ya know that I love myself and my mother that’s the only two people I love in life, even if I say it to other people sometimes I really don’t mean it. I’ve been damn nearly around the whole world and I still haven’t found that "one girl” so for now I’ll just love my “mommy” :-). Honestly I’m leaving New York because there’s nothing else for me here, and also I’m going to collage. I’m taking off and landing in Las Vegas. The lady’s think I’m sexy here and over there so I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Hey New York, my name is Kadeidra I am the one that loves to play around (maybe to much). I the some aspect I want take anything from anyone. I am fun loving at times, but can be serious at times. I am also the charitable one of the group. In the future I plan on being one of the best psychologists of my time. I plan to travel around the world and experience all culture. I am the best of the best of the best!!

Sup New York this is Andrew. When it comes to computers I know a lot even though I really hate when they mess up. When I finish with teen talk I want to go on to college and double major in Pre Medicine and Computer Hardware Engineer. I like to play card games and video games on my Xbox Live. One day ill be rich and put Sony out of business Ha Ha Ha.

What’ cracking lacking this is your man Zickey Nicholas A.K.A Marley, the one you could talk to when it comes to reggae music. I also like being in places where I can learn new things especially in technician. Now am planning to go to college to study computer science to be part of Microsoft and ………I love girls, girls, girls!

What’s good New York. This is Annadel, I love to be on camera and host our shows. I also love music and love to dance. I’m a very outgoing person and very energetic. My plans for the future is to become a VJ for MTV, well more like a dream I’ve had since I was young. I’m also going to college to study Realty. Accounting, Buisness Management, and finance………….Be easy out there…..l..And remember the key to success is your education!!!!!!!!!!

09/01/03-01/30/04

The Love Connection... 10-09-03 Hosted by: Deanna & Sharon Teen Talk’s first official live broadcasting show was entitled The Love Connection. The Love Connection focuses on a teen perspective of love and relationships amongst themselves. It was a chance for us to prove that we are capable of having and maintaining healthy relationships, whether they are just ordinary friendships or a love relationship.

Show Me The Money... 10-23-03 Hosted by: Bryant & Anthu Our show is about the economic issues in New York City and how teens are greatly effected by them. We were trying to make the youth of the city understand how problems are being resolved. We also had Assemblyman Ruben Diaz Jr. as a phone guest. This show is important to us because now we know where all tax payer’s money is going to, and how the city is providing solutions to make budget cuts in the right places.

Emotional Roller Coasters 4 Kids...11-06-03 Produced by Anthony Moreaux and Nancy Morales Broadcast Feelings are a very important part of growing up for kids. Kids need a lot of attention some parents don't understand how important this is to kids. Most problems occur when the child and the parent don't communicate. Emotions can be mixed so be very receptive and think out your response. Not every situation requires aggressive methods.

The Aftermath... 11-20-03 Hosted by: Michael & Maria The Aftermath is about drugs and alcohol and how it affects the average teen life, but in particular, college students. We are going to be interviewing teens from Day Top Village, which is a drug rehabilitation center for teens and adults. We are also going to be interviewing parents of teen drug abusers to get their feedback of the struggle of seeing their child overcome their addiction.

“When Momma Can’t Do It”... 01-08-04 Hosted by Michelle & Q This show is about older siblings who are taking care of younger siblings because their parent(s) are physically or mentally unable to do so. We chose this topic because there are quite a few Teen Talk interns who are in this same predicament right now. Michelle’s mother is disabled due to a stroke and we feel it is only fair for people to hear her story on the daily struggles. We want people to be aware of that you should do if you are ever forced into this type of situation. Also, it is really important to appreciate your parents because you never know what will happen to them or to you for that matter.

TEEN TALK RADIO-

"HATERAID"...a look at what makes people "hate", or discriminate against each other. "OLD SCHOOL/NEW SCHOOL- THE EVOLUTION SPIN"...How has society and our social values changed form the '70's and '80's to now? We set out to answer that question with interviews comparing West Side High students with Senior Citizens from the Stanley Isaacs Center, interviews on the perception and idolization of "gangsta" culture with former gang leader Johnny Montalvo and students currently incarcerated at Rikers Island from Island Academy, and Old School vs. New School Hip Hop artists from XXPOSURE and Meridian Entertainment.
